Nepal stands as one of the world’s most spiritually significant and unreached regions. Out of 228 people groups, 217 have never heard the Gospel. The Asia-Pacific region, which includes Nepal, is home to nearly 60% of the world’s population. Nepal is the birthplace of Buddhism and a center of Hinduism, with entire villages that have never encountered Jesus. This mission is about reaching those communities and answering the biblical call to “make disciples of all nations.”

The foundation of this mission is deeply biblical. Passages like Matthew 28 (“Go make disciples of all nations”), Isaiah 6:8 (“Whom shall I send? Here am I. Send me!”), Romans 10:15 (“How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”), and Psalm 22:27 (“All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord”) remind us that God’s heart beats for every nation, tribe, and language.

• Spiritual Poverty: 217 of 228 people groups remain unreached.

• Physical Poverty: 61% of rural areas are food insecure; 10 million people (one-third of Nepal’s population) are illiterate and cannot read Scripture.

• Legal Restrictions: Christianity was illegal until 1990, and conversion remains technically illegal.

• Missionary Decline: Globally, missionaries have dropped from 1.1 million in 2001 to 430,000 in 2021, with most serving in already-reached areas.

Despite legal and cultural barriers, Christianity is the fastest-growing religion in Nepal, with a 10.9% annual growth rate. Most Nepali Christians are first-generation believers who often face persecution and family separation. The Gospel is spreading through prayer, miraculous healing, and personal testimony.

• Training Center: Establishing a facility for bivocational pastors to receive theological training.

• Church Planting: Supporting the vision to plant at least five new churches annually.

• Local Relationships: Partnering with Nepali missionaries and believers, respecting their cultural context.

• Sustainable Ministry: Building self-sustaining churches rather than dependency models.

• Learning: Bringing back insights about prayer, spiritual warfare, and oral traditions to strengthen faith at home.

• Pray: Join the prayer team, pray for safety, spiritual breakthrough, cultural sensitivity, and divine appointments.

• Give: $150,000 has been committed over three years to seed the partnership, supporting training, church planting, and local ministry.

• Research: Learn about global religions and cultures.

• Prepare: Consider future trips and ongoing relationships.

• The team goes as learners, not just teachers, respecting Nepali Christianity’s deep prayer life and understanding of spiritual warfare.

• All Nepali pastors are bivocational, working multiple jobs with minimal pay and little theological training.

• The partnership is built on relationships and ongoing support, not just distant missionary work.

The mission seeks to mobilize workers for the harvest, create sustainable local ministry, and reflect God’s heart for all nations. The goal is for every unreached people group in Nepal to encounter Jesus, and for the church to embrace a world-centric faith that goes beyond ethnocentrism.

• Jesus is the Bread of Life—they will never hunger
