Matthew Deprez

Lead Pastor

Matthew Deprez is the Lead Pastor at Inspire. He has been in full-time ministry since 2005 and married his wife, Megan, in 2007. Everybody agrees she's way cooler than him and likes to make fun of his weird obsessions, like racquetball, documentaries and tattoos. After struggling through years of infertility, God opened the door for them to adopt both of their sons (Isaiah and Silas) from birth, and they're passionate about adoption advocacy.

In addition to pastoring, Matthew also spent a few years working for the Fuller Youth Institute, where he resourced and trained thousands of church leaders at some of the largest churches in the United States. Holding a Master’s Degree in Family Ministry, Matthew has become a nationally recognized speaker and thought-leader, and has spoken at some of the leading family ministry conferences in the world. He is passionate about intergenerational ministry and has pioneered research studying the way grandparents shape the faith of their grandchildren. Matthew has authored or coauthored multiple books and is an ordained minister in the Wesleyan Church.

Mike Morgan

Worship Pastor

Moving back home to the West Michigan area in 2021, it wasn't long before Mike and his family found Inspire Church. Along with his wife, Joni, and their two boys (Miles and Otis), they love living on family farmland, just west of the city of Big Rapids.

At the age of 14, Mike experienced God's call to serve in worship ministry. From that time forward, He has been serving the local church. From student ministries to church planting, and church revitalization efforts to strong and long-established churches, Mike has followed God's leading, trusting the Holy Spirit to empower at each step of the way.

Alongside serving at Inspire, Mike also serves full-time with our denomination, The Wesleyan Church, helping to engage churches in the global mission and supporting the Wesleyan church around the world.

Esther Berry

KIDS Ministry Operations Director

Esther lives in Fremont with her husband Ben and their four boys, Ian, Josiah, Gabriel, and Elijah. Their family moved to Fremont in 2021 after spending six years in Kenya as missionaries with Africa Inland Mission.

Esther puts a lot of energy into creating safe, fun environments where kids of all ages can learn about Jesus. She believes church should be a blast; a place where faith, imagination, and learning go hand-in-hand, and where loving God is cool!

Outside of church, Esther enjoys life on her small hobby farm and loves watching her boys play music and participate in sports. You might recognize her from the Newaygo County Fair, where she volunteers and enjoys teaching kids how to care for and show their rabbits. Between church, the fair, and her boys' schools, she feels like she knows most of the kids in Fremont!

Jess Hunt

Connections

Jess is an energetic and joyful part of the Inspire family who loves connecting with people and helping them feel seen and valued. As she continues to grow in her own faith, she has developed a special heart for students and loves encouraging them to ask questions, have fun, and grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus.

Jess and her husband, Dan, have three adventurous boys and a Goldendoodle named Oliver. Together, they love being outdoors, hiking, watching football, and spending time as a family. Whether she’s dreaming up something creative or jumping into a game of 1 on 1 with her boys, Jess loves bringing a little fun and energy to whatever she’s doing.

Val Jensen

Care Coordinator

Having grown up a preacher’s kid, Val has always loved worshiping and fellowshiping with her church family, and the same still holds true today. She finds joy serving at Inspire, whether through Congregational Care Ministry, Celebrate Recovery, or on the worship team/band.

After God, Val’s greatest love is her family. She’s busy living life with husband Scott, being mom to 4 young adults and their spouses, and being grandma to her 5 granddaughters and 2 grandsons, and she looks forward to meeting her 3rd grandson in Heaven someday. Other things that bring her joy are spending time with family and friends, music (whether making it or listening to it), cooking, baking, mysteries, and driving, and one of her favorite places to be is by the water, especially when she can get her feet in it and look for rocks or shells.

Brady Jester

Youth Pastor

Originally from Indiana, Brady has called Michigan home for more than 15 years. He loves Jesus, his wife Linda, his kids Hannah and Jack, student ministry, a good DIY project, and some football.

Brady is passionate about helping students discover that following Jesus isn’t just something they do on Sundays or Wednesdays—it’s a relationship that can shape every part of their lives. His greatest desire is to see students know they are deeply loved by God, grow in their relationship with Jesus, and develop a faith that will carry them for a lifetime.

When he’s not hanging out with students or serving at church, you’ll most likely find Brady spending time with his family, working around his 1911 farmhouse, or finding an excuse to watch a football game.

Megan Deprez

KIDS Ministry Vision Lead

Megan didn't just come along for the ride when her husband, Matthew became the lead pastor at Inspire in 2022. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in Children's Ministry. Megan has a big heart and is very creative in engaging kids to learn to love God. Being a mom to her two boys, Isaiah and Silas, is very important to her as she relates with parents who want the best for their families in training them to grow up to be like Jesus. Megan also loves wood working, doing fun projects around the house, reading, baking and trying new recipes. Megan makes the best chocolate cookies.

Tiffany Romine

Director of Ministry Operations

Tiffany brings joy and energy to everything she does. As our Director of Ministry Operations, she plays a vital role in keeping Inspire Church running smoothly behind the scenes. Her love for praise and worship, devotionals, and sharing Christ through relationships shines through in both her work and personal life. Tiffany and her family are deeply involved in ministry here at Inspire, serving in various areas with passion and purpose.

Outside the office, you’ll often find Tiffany spending time with family, caring for their farm animals, canning, and exploring new ways to preserve food. Together, Jason and Tiffany are proud parents of five children and a growing number of grandchildren who fill their hearts with joy and keep life wonderfully full.

Sadie Kaminski

Discipleship Pastor

Sadie Kaminski is our dynamic, caffeine-fueled pastor. She has her M.Div from Wesley Seminary at Indiana Wesleyan University with a specialization in Leadership. She has been in vocational ministry for 13 years and is passionate about building healthy and sustainable ministries. Sadie loves helping others understand the context and meaning of scripture. So, don't hesitate to ask her any questions you may have when reading the Bible gets confusing. Sadie loves the beach, reading, and music. She also loves tacos, donuts, and Wordle.

Jen Messer

Office Coordinator

Jen brings so much warmth, laughter, and heart to her role as Office Coordinator at Inspire Church! With her fun sense of humor and incredibly welcoming spirit, she has a gift for making everyone feel right at home. Whether she's helping staff or greeting guests, her goal is always the same: to love people like Jesus does.

Outside the office, you’ll find her with her favorite people, her husband, Dave, and their kiddos (Liem, Killian, Charlotte and Cecilia); which is what fuels her love for connection in the first place. She’s also a huge fan of a good cup of coffee, cake (in all of its forms), being outdoors and Michigan State athletics. Go Green!

Justun Wittenberger

Facilities Volunteer Coordinator

Contact Justun

Justun serves as both our Facilities Volunteer Coordinator and resident youth pastor. You’ll find him keeping our building clean and in order during the week, while teaching and building relationships with our youth on Wednesdays (which is his true passion!). He especially loves helping middle school students grow in their faith and navigate this important season of life. Outside of church, he enjoys hiking, swimming, or just being in the great outdoors.
