We’re so excited you’re here! We have a couple of ways you can learn more about Inspire Church, what we believe, and how to get started on your journey.
Guest Party: On the second Sunday of each month, we offer a quick get-together after each service in the gym. This is a great time for you to get to know the people on our team, learn a bit about the groups and ministries we have, get some free gifts, and ask any questions you might have, all while grabbing a nice cup of coffee and a snack!
Starting Point Classes: Once our building construction is completed, we will offer three recurring classes during our second service to help people learn more about and get connected at Inspire Church. While these three classes do not need to be attended in order, they build on one another.
Discover Inspire: On the first Sunday of each month, we offer people an insight into who we are and what we believe as a church. We cover the mission, vision, arrows, and basic core beliefs of our church and the Wesleyan denomination to which we belong.
Explore Scripture: On the second Sunday of each month, we offer a basic introduction to understanding the Bible, how to read and apply it to your life, basic spiritual practices, and ways to connect with God.
Find Connection: On the third Sunday of each month, we walk through what spiritual gifts are, how to identify yours, and how you can utilize them within our church family. We discuss serving at and outside of Inspire Church, as well as discussing some of the best ways to get connected to other people within the church.

If you’re interested in volunteering for one of our service teams, we ask you to attend all three weeks of the Starting Point classes. You do not need to be a partner of Inspire Church to serve, though some roles, such as working on the safety team or with minors, require a background check. The third week of the starting point classes, Find Connection, focuses on the different ways you can serve at Inspire Church.

Faith is a journey, and if you have questions about Jesus or faith in general, we don’t just welcome them; we encourage and value them. Every spring, we offer Alpha, a space for open conversations about faith, life, and God in a relaxed, judgment-free environment. Whether you’re skeptical, curious, or just beginning to explore, Alpha is a great place to start. Alpha is designed for people who either don’t believe in God or are new to their faith. If you aren’t quite ready to jump into a group experience but are struggling with doubt regarding faith, we have two resources we’d greatly encourage you to try out: Faith After Doubt by Brian McLaren and The Benefit of Doubt by Craig Groeschel.

First Time Commitments
Deciding to follow Jesus is the most important decision you can make because it doesn’t just impact your life now, but your eternity. If you’d like to talk with someone before taking that step, or if you have already decided that you want to begin a relationship with Jesus, but you don’t know what to say or how to pray, we’d love to connect with you. Please click HERE, and one of our pastors will be in touch.
Returning Home Commitments
People wander away from their faith far more often than you might think. If you gave your life to Christ in the past, but either chose to denounce your belief in God or wandered away from your faith until you had none left, just remember the parable of the lost son in Luke chapter 15, verses 11-32.
God loves you and wants you to come home. We want to help you make the choice to give up the life you have been living and return home to live for Jesus, with Jesus, and surrounded by the love of Jesus. So, if you want to recommit your life to Christ and choose to live for Him, we just have one thing to say to you: Welcome Home. God has been waiting for you to come back and choose life!
Please let us know by clicking HERE. We’d love to meet with you and hear your story.

If we’re honest, the Bible can be confusing. There are different genres of literature in the Bible, and even though it’s been translated into English for us, sometimes there are words we just don’t use in contemporary culture. If you’ve tried to read the Bible and just found it more confusing than anything else, or maybe you read a difficult passage that made you angry and question why people worship God, we are here to tell you that you are not alone. The Bible is equal parts complex as it is wonderful once we begin to unpack it. Here are some of our recommendations to help you understand the Bible:
We encourage you to attend our Starting Point classes, starting as soon as the construction process allows, to gain better insight into how we read and interpret the Bible here at Inspire Church.
Create an account at RightNow Media for free by clicking on the link to do so HERE. The series called How to Read the Bible, would be a good place to start, but there are plenty of good resources on RightNow Media that would help you to understand your Bible. (Disclaimer: RightNow Media is an interdenominational resource, which means that some of the content may not align with the Wesleyan denomination. Check the Inspire Church channels for recommended content.)
You can learn more about the Bible by engaging with the many resources created by the Bible Project. The Bible Project, available both online and via an app, offers video overviews, articles, podcasts, reading guides, and even online classes you can take at your own pace that not only break down books of the Bible but also common themes or elements of Scripture.
Every fall and winter, we also offer classes that offer either an in-depth look at scripture or how scripture informs us on relevant topics such as mental health or finding love and unity amidst political division. You can view our seasonal classes by going HERE.
If you come across a particularly difficult passage or topic that you’d like to meet with a pastor about, you can also let us know by calling us at (231) 924-3284 or emailing the church at office@liveinspired.church to set up a time to meet or simply email in a question.

Believer’s Baptism: We believe baptism is an outward expression of an inward faith—a way of publicly declaring that you have chosen to follow Jesus. We practice believer’s baptism, meaning baptism is for those who have already made the decision to follow Christ. We believe it is something we do as an act of obedience to Christ, and much like Jesus’ baptism signified the beginning of his ministry, we believe it signifies the beginning of our commitment to live out our faith publicly. This means we do not baptize infants or very young children.
Child Baptism: Our children’s ministry directors would love to connect with you, the parent(s), to determine if now is the right time for your child to take this step. We want to honor their intention while also assuring that they have a full understanding of the decision and commitment they are making, and if they are developmentally at an age at which they will remember getting baptized.
If you or your child is interested in getting baptized, please click HERE.
Re-Baptism: Every so often, we get asked if someone who was already baptized, or who was baptized as an infant, can get baptized again. For some, their first baptism experience was either done very early in their life and they do not remember it, or it was done to please or appease someone in their life, or they simply did not fully comprehend the richness of the decision they made and wish to get re-baptized now that they’re older and better understand the commitment they’re making. While we typically do not turn people away from baptism, we also want to assure you that getting re-baptized is not required, even if you strayed from your faith and have renewed your commitment to follow Jesus.
If you’d like to discuss getting rebaptized with one of our staff members, please email Sadie at sadie@liveinspired.church or call her (231) 924-3284.
Child Dedication: Child Dedication is an alternative ceremony we offer in place of infant or toddler baptism. Child Dedication is about you, the parent(s), making the decision to be intentional about raising your children to know that God loves them, desires to have a relationship with them, and teaching them how to learn more about God by reading the Bible and praying together. In turn, we as a church commit to helping you as you navigate the complexities of parenting within the context of faith.
If you’re interested in Child Dedication, please email Esther at esther@liveinspired.church or call us at (231) 924-3284.

Following Jesus isn’t just about belief—it’s about transformation. Maybe you’ve believed in God for a while but are feeling stuck in your faith, or perhaps you are simply ready to grow in your faith. We encourage you to explore more spiritual practices, pathways, and engage more deeply in community.
Recommended resources: Check out our curated list of books, podcasts, and tools HERE.
Rule of Life Builder: Explore the Rule of Life Builder by Practicing the Way (John Mark Comer) to create a rhythm of spiritual growth.
Seasonal Classes: We offer classes throughout the year to help you learn more about the
Bible and deepen your faith. Click HERE to look at our seasonal classes.
Accountability Partners: An accountability partner is someone you hold absolutely nothing back from when it comes to the areas of your life you struggle with the most. In return, they share their deepest struggles with you. Accountability partners challenge each other’s patterns of thinking, words, and actions, and encourage each other to become mentally and emotionally healthier individuals and more mature followers of Christ. This journey requires journeying together so you can help one another press through the hard times in life.
Find a Mentor: If you’re feeling stuck in your faith, sometimes it’s best to try talking to
someone who has been through a similar dry spot or struggle and came out with a much
richer and deeper faith.
Become a Mentor! As any teacher will tell you, the best way to find out whether you truly
understand a concept is to try teaching it to another person. If you have been a follower of
Christ for a while but find yourself either not feeling challenged in your faith anymore or
simply would like to help others grow in their faith, we encourage you to think about
becoming a mentor for a new believer or someone struggling in their faith journey.
If you’d like to have a conversation about finding an accountability partner or mentor or becoming a mentor and whether that’s the right next step for you, contact Sadie at sadie@liveinspired.church or (231) 924-3284.

Here, at Inspire Church, we call our members “Partners” because we desire true partners in ministry. The process of becoming a member is relatively simple. First, we request that you attend all three Starting Point classes. These classes cover a large foundation of who we are, what we believe, and how we do ministry at Inspire Church. “Then, about twice a year, we offer a partnership class in which we dig
a bit deeper into our history, beliefs, and vision. The partnership class also walks
through the requirements for approval, as well as the expectations and the
benefits of becoming a partner. NOTE: You do not need to be a partner to serve at our church. However, there are select volunteer leadership positions you must be a partner to fill.

Jesus calls all of us not just to follow Him, but to invite others to do the same. If you’re ready to become invested in the spiritual growth of others, there are several ways to step into disciple-making:
Evangelism Training: If you would like to receive some training on how to share your
testimony and tell others about Jesus, we’d love to meet with you. We will offer the
occasional large group training, but if we don’t have one scheduled, we’d love to meet with you and walk you through how to talk about and share your faith with others.
Leadership Opportunities: Become a small group leader, ministry leader, or mentor others in their faith.Missions Trips: Every so often, we offer the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Nepal as a part of the Our Turn Initiative to help the Wesleyan Church in Nepal continue the work they’re already doing. There’s an in-depth application and selection process to be chosen to go on one of these trips due to the difficulties associated with Nepal being a country that is closed to conversion. This means that being a Christian and worshipping in a designated place to worship is not illegal, but converting to Christianity is illegal. Nepalese people who publicly share the gospel are often imprisoned, while foreigners are swiftly deported back to their home countries. Many people within our church family are former or current missionaries to other countries, and we can get you connected there as well.
Vocational Ministry Training: If you think it’s possible God might be calling you into vocational ministry, we would absolutely love to chat with you and help you get connected as you discern your next steps, whether that be taking seminary classes, finding an internship, or so on.
If you feel led to take the next steps by engaging with one or more of the above opportunities, please reach out to Sadie at sadie@liveinspired.church or (231) 924-3284.
