Why Nepal?

Nepal is one of the most underdeveloped and impoverished countries in the world. Despite a population of over 29M, fewer than 500K are Christians.

It is geographically positioned in what’s called the 10/40 Window, a region of the globe—located between 10 and 40 degrees north of the equator—marked by socioeconomic challenges and limited access to the Christian message. The 10/40 Window, which stretches from North Africa through the Middle East and into China, contains about 65% of the world’s population, and countries within are predominantly Muslim, Hindu, or Buddhist. Our desire is to help the Church of Nepal continue to spread the Gospel in an unreached area of the world. With the help of a Wesleyan organization called Global Partners, we will come alongside our brothers and sisters in Nepal to grow the church and offer a message of hope. We expect to take regular short-term mission trips to Nepal to help disciple new believers, train local pastors, and build infrastructure for local churches. Our Leadership unanimously voted that 10% of what is raised through The OUR TURN Initiative will go to ministry efforts in Nepal.

AS A CHURCH, WE ARE ASKING YOU TO CONSIDER MAKING TWO SPECIFIC COMMITMENTS TO THE OUR TURN INITIATIVE:

We’re asking everyone to make a relational investment by building a friendship with one local person who has not encountered the life-changing love of Jesus. We call this “your ONE.” Ultimately, we should all have more than one person we are doing this with, but we should all have at least one person we are helping take steps toward Jesus.

We’re asking everyone to consider making a financial sacrifice as we focus on four projects at Inspire: Prioritizing Kids + Students, Lobby Expansion, Technology Updates [In-Person + Online], and Serving the Global Church in Nepal. We believe focusing on these things creates the best opportunity for Inspire to reach people with the message of Jesus.

Each one requires sacrifice, but like King David said,
“I will not offer up to the Lord anything that costs me nothing.”
